I approach both my work and personal life from a holistic, whole-system methodology. I acknowledge the importance of backgrounds, personality, lived experiences, interests, strengths, family dynamics, work/career, spiritual and existential issues in one’s journey.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in being client-focused and solution-oriented. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Mindfulness-CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused/Brief Therapy. I work with individuals, 19+ years of age, and in allyship with LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC communities. I’m also San’yas ICS trained.

I specialize in navigating challenging life changes (divorce, grief/loss, career change/physical health changes and illness), chronic anxiety/depression, stress management, and interpersonal relationships.

When I’m not working, I love to unwind with activities that bring me joy, like exploring our beautiful city, playing tennis, cycling, practicing yoga, or getting creative in the kitchen with my passion for baking and cooking.

Amrit discovered her passion for physiotherapy through her own experiences with injury at a young age, where she learned how valuable it is to feel supported and truly understood during recovery. Those experiences inspired her to become a physiotherapist who prioritizes listening, education, and helping patients feel confident in their bodies.

In the clinic, Amrit takes a collaborative, client centred approach and believes recovery works best when it is easy to understand. She focuses on identifying the root cause of each concern and helping patients feel confident in their movement. Using exercise, education, and manual therapy, she provides practical tools that patients can use beyond the clinic to create long term solutions. Her goal is to help people get back to the activities they love, whether that is work, sport, or everyday life.

When she is not helping patients, Amrit is currently training for the BMO Half Marathon, enjoys hiking and camping, and loves discovering new coffee spots. She is happy to offer services in both English and Punjabi.
